RELSUDE Project Report: Conflict Analysis in Alindao

As part of the RELSUDE project, Concordis researched conflict dynamics and community perceptions in the Central African Republic. The aim of the project was to inform consortium partners and anchor them in the diverse realities of 11 targeted cities in the southeast of the country.

The town of Alindao has been affected conflict 2013, with sporadic violence and displacement. Though the government forces now control the town, some activity of the armed groups remain on the periphery, limiting economic recovery and efforts at reconciliation. Civil society organizations have played an important role in mitigating the tensions between the communities and fostering dialogue, but a lot of work is left to be done.
