As part of the RELSUDE project, Concordis researched conflict dynamics and community perceptions in the Central African Republic. The aim of the project was to inform consortium partners and anchor them in the diverse realities of 11 targeted cities in the southeast of the country.
The residents of Ouango reported that the economic situation following the 2013 crisis was one of their main difficulties. Themes of livelihoods and economic well being form the core of their reporting on current conditions. These themes feature as motivating factors for joining armed groups, striving for reconciliation, and in visions of improving the future.
