As part of the RELSUDE project, Concordis researched conflict dynamics and community perceptions in the Central African Republic. The aim of the project was to inform consortium partners and anchor them in the diverse realities of 11 targeted cities in the southeast of the country.
The report details recent events in Satema, analyzing the conflict between the Anti-Balaka and local communities which resulted in violence, displacement, and economic disruption. The report warns of a risk of resumption of violence, as there is a notable lack of truss in disarmament processes and a significant absence of Muslim voices. The report provides an overview of the main actors and civil society organizations involved and recommends inclusive dialogue to address the ongoing challenges.
