Yvette is a dedicated professional with a growing interest in issues relating to peace and security in Africa.  She leverages her expertise in conflict crisis management gained from her work in development organizations
With a Master of Arts in Global Studies, specializing in Peace and Security in Africa, she possesses a solid academic foundation in the nexus between peace, security and development. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Buea in Cameroon.
She is passionate about promoting peace, stability, and youth-focused initiatives, particularly those aimed at preventing violent extremism. Her expertise lies in humanitarian assistance, field operations, and stakeholder coordination, making her a strong advocate for peacebuilding in Africa.
She has played key roles in implementing initiatives aimed at enhancing youth participation in peacebuilding in Cameroon. Through her work, she has engaged in project activities and facilitated intergenerational dialogues to build community trust. She has also led social cohesion initiatives between internally displaced persons and host communities using sports. Her unwavering passion lies in understanding how societies can strive towards a sustainable Africa. She firmly believes in the power of collective efforts to foster peace and security on the continent.
