Rosalind was EU Special Representative for Sudan from 2010 until 2013. A long career in British diplomacy included postings as Consul-General in Basra, Ambassador to Sudan and to Afghanistan. She was FCO’s Head of UN Department and Director (Asia-Pacific). She also served in Tokyo and spent two years on secondment in corporate finance. She holds a BA in Modern History from Somerville College, Oxford and a D.Phil from St Antony’s College, Oxford.
