Henna Anuksha Vara
Fundraising and Communications Intern
Henna is a Recent graduate and Human Rights Advocate with a Master’s in Humanitarianism, Aid, and Conflict from SOAS University of London, and a Bachelor’s in International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response from the University of Manchester. Her career has spanned the UK, Europe, and the MENA region, where she’s worked across research, advocacy, and evaluation on issues ranging from humanitarian response and migration to digital rights.
Driven by a deep commitment to centering the voices of those most affected by conflict and oppression, Henna has contributed to a wide range of initiatives; from supporting MEAL and business development at MERA-Global, to advancing digital rights advocacy with EDHRB, to researching neutrality and operational challenges in conflict zones with the British Red Cross. She believes in the power of storytelling, community-led action, and solidarity to shift narratives and drive change.
