Ghai Aketch, an African Union scholar in his final year of studies, is pursuing a master's degree in Governance and Regional Integration at the Pan African University in Yaounde, Cameroon. He is focusing on peace and security, researching communication strategies in conflict resolution and prevention in South Sudan. Currently, he is also volunteering as a Regional Communications Coordinator for the East African Community Youth Peace and Security Platform.

Ghai graduated with a Mass Communication bachelor's degree from St. Paul's University in Nairobi, Kenya. He possesses more than 4 years of experience in media and communication within NGO and mainstream media. Having previous experience in managing social media and developing communication strategies for various audiences, he brings this expertise to Concordis International.

In his role as an Associate Editor for #defyhatenow, he trained youth and media practitioners on fact-checking techniques to counter dissemination of false information and mitigate hate speech both online and offline in South Sudan. Ghai is delighted to be part of Concordis International as a Fundraising and Communications Intern, excited to learn about peacebuilding strategies, fundraising, mediation, and storytelling for the organization's peacebuilding efforts.
