Amel is in the process of completing a Master's in International Relations at the London School of Economics, specialising in security studies, peace building and African politics. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Politics from the University of Cambridge, where she studied modern world history, African history and conflict studies. 

Amel is passionate about sustainable conflict mediation, and peace-building initiatives that are centred around resiliency. She is keen to gain knowledge and expertise in this area to be a part of impactful solutions
