Social Cohesion and Infrastructure Cartography in Ouham Pendé

This report aims to amplify the voices of settled, semi-settled and transhumant communities in Ouham Pendé, a prefecture in the north west of the Central African Republic. It draws on findings from Concordis' 2019 and 2021 consultations and from a cartography exercise funded by the UN Peacebuilding Fund and conducted by Concordis in the first half of 2022 as implementing partner to the FAO. Seeking to guide peacebuilding and development programmes, it highlights the role of transhumance in the region, its link to peace and conflict, and the need for specific infrastructure to support peaceful transhumance.
